Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
AIP is a fast track to becoming a permanent resident in Canada. It allows applicants to work and apply for PR at the same time.
To apply for AIP, the candidate must have a job offer from a designated employer. However, the employers in AIP are not required to have LMIA. This makes the recruitment process faster. With a valid job offer and referral letter from the province, the candidate can make an application for Canada PR. Most AIP applications are usually processed within 6 months. The approved candidate can move to Atlantic Canada with his/her family immediately.
AIP covers 4 Atlantic provinces:
1. New Brunswick
2. New Foundland and Labrador
3. Nova Scotia
4. Prince Edward Island
